In the 13th century, in the 1970s, the emperor, who came to worship, received Venetian merchants Nikolai Polo and his brother Mafi Polo and his son Marco Polo, and left them to serve for the court. Marco Polo soon learned Chinese and Mongolian, visited many places, and is said to have served as a local official in Yangzhou, and frequently travelled abroad to many parts of the South Ocean. After 17 years in China, brothers Nicholas and Marco Polo left and returned to Venice after three years of journey. Shortly after Marco Polo joined the Venetian fleet, he was captured in the war with Genoa and imprisoned in Genoa on 7 September 1298. After Marco Polo was imprisoned with the writer Ruthsteen, the two collaborated on the book "Marco Polo's Diary".The book gives a detailed introduction to China's famous cities such as the capital, Yangzhou, Suzhou, Hangzhou, etc., praising China's prosperity and civilization. Marco Polo became famous for publishing his books and was thus released. Since then, relations between China and Europe and the Arab countries have been closer.
