Reuters founder was born.

Paul Julius Reuters (1816–899), founder of the world’s first news agency, was born in Germany on July 21, 1816 with Jewish parents.

He worked in a small publishing house in Berlin in the early 1940s.

In 1849 Reuters founded the Experimental Communications Agency and in 1851 the Reuters Telegraph Company, a London-based commercial communications agency for banks, brokerage exchanges and major commercial companies. The company continued to grow steadily and in 1858 it received its first newspaper, the London Advertising Morning Post, as its client.

In 1859, he successfully sent the original speech of Napoleon III to London about the outbreak of the Olympic War in Italy. Reuters became a joint-stock company in 1915. The expansion of the submarine cable enabled Reuters to expand its operations to other continents (outside Europe).

At the end of the 1970s, there were 28 newspapers in the United States ordering Reuters news.

Reuters was sealed baron in 1871 and retired in 1878.
