Born on 25 May 1907 at Yangon University in Yangon County, Myanmar, he graduated from Yangon University in 1929. He returned to Yangon University in 1934 to study law and participate in student political activities. In 1936, the university dismissed him and Aung San, causing student strikes. In the second year, he joined the "I Myanmar Party". In 1940, the British imprisoned him for inciting rebellion. After the Japanese invasion of Myanmar, he was released. In 1943, he served as foreign minister in the pro-Japanese government of Bam. After Aung San was assassinated in 1947, he served as head of government and leader of the main political party of Myanmar, the anti-Fascist People's Alliance. In January 1948, Myanmar declared independence, and he served as the first prime minister for 10 years. He resigned in 1958 because of his inability to govern the country and was taken over by Wu Nuwing's "guard cabinet". In 1960, he resumed the parliamentary regime and was re-elected as prime minister. In March 1962, Wu Nuwing launched a coup d'état, established a military government and imprisoned him. After leaving Myanmar in 1969, he began organizing a resistance movement against Wu Nuwing's government. After the campaign failed, he continued to stay in India. In 1980 he was invited to return to Yangon and become a Buddhist monk. In 1988, after the democratic movement disbanded Wu Nuwing's government, he attempted to seize power but failed. After Myanmar's independence, Wu Wu visited China six times in December 1954, October 1956 and November 1957, September 1960 and October 1961, and October 1961. Through multiple visits to China, Wu-nu further deepened his feelings for China and his friendship with the Chinese leaders. During the visit, in order to jointly confront the remaining forces of the National Party in northern Myanmar, the two countries joined forces to strike together, in order to set the Chinese-India border as a model on the issue of the border of China-Myanmar, and actually acknowledged the borders previously proposed by the British. When Wu-nu visited China, he frequently wore the chinese costume and had special feelings for China. Since 1962, Wu has been in the wilderness, but the Chinese people will not forget his significant contribution to the friendship between China and Myanmar. Wu has very much appreciated the friendship with Prime Minister Zhou Enlai, praised Zhou Enlai and the gentle, friendly people. When he once emigrated to India, a reporter asked him who he adored most in the world, and he did not hesitate to say he adored Zhou Enlai the most.
