Today, 68 years ago, on November 21, 1957 (Calendar, September 30, 1957) a US-made jet plane crashes killed airmen. On November 21, 1957, another U.S.-made F-86 jet fighter crashed. The Japanese Air Force had therefore ordered to stop flight for two days and thoroughly inspected the U.S. aircraft supplied to the Japanese Air Force. The aircraft suddenly burned into the sea while flying on training flight near the Bison Base. The Japanese Air Force authorities suspected the crash was related to the aircraft's fuel barrel. The Japanese Air Force authorities had discovered during an inspection that 28 of the 228 F-86 jets were unable to fly due to the fuel barrel capacity. This crash was the 20th since this year.
