Thirty-four years ago today, on November 1, 1991 (September 25, 1991 in the lunar calendar), the tomb of Princess Changle of Tang Dynasty was opened to the public. On November 1st, 1991, the tomb of Princess Changle, one of the well-known tombs of Emperor Taizong Li Shimin's Zhaoling, was officially opened to the public on November 1st after five years of cleaning and restoration after being excavated in 1986, and became another tourist cultural landscape in Shaanxi Province. Princess Changle (AD 621-643), whose name is beautiful, was Li Shimin's fifth favorite daughter before her death. She was born to Empress Changsun. She married Changsun Chong at the age of 13 and died of sudden illness at the age of 23. The tomb of Princess Changle is only separated from Zhaoling by a ditch. Stepping into the tomb of Princess Changle, you can see the patio, cave, niche, tunnel and tomb chamber, with a total length of 48.18 meters. Exquisite murals are painted on both sides of the tomb, and funerary objects such as pottery figurines are placed in the niches. The murals not only depict soaring black dragons, roaring white tigers and galloping horses, but also paint magnificent armored guards, dignified and plump ladies and vivid male attendants. In particular, the chariots and horses in the clouds painted in the tomb passage are full of praise: in the Ruiqi Cloud, two horses are riding red wooden carts, with a faucet carved at the end of the shaft, a red tassel at the top of the yoke, and a red flag inserted on each side of the back of the cart. There are three people sitting in the carriage, one of whom is an old man with a long beard fluttering, sitting in the center, with a peaceful and lifelike look; There is a friction at the bottom left of the carriage, with its mouth open and tongue stretched out, and its fins and tails are all complete. It is a rare and superior work in the murals of Tang tombs. The three heavy buildings at the entrance of the second cave not only show the superb painting skills of the Tang Dynasty, but also provide new evidence for studying the politics, economy, culture and architecture of the Tang Dynasty.
