9 December 1929 Australian Prime Minister Hawk
The President of the Republic of Australia, Robert James Lee Hawk, former prime minister of the Australian National University of Canberra, conducted academic studies in 1958-69 as a counselor and lawyer in the Council of Trade Unions of the International Labour Organization (ILO), as chairman of the Council of Trade Unions of South Australia in September 1969, graduated from the University of Western Australia and the University of Oxford in 1971, became a member of the Executive Committee of the Labour Party in 1971, joined the Labour Party in 1947 and served as vice chairman of the First Assembly of the Labour Party in 1976, and was appointed as chairman of the General Assembly of the Labour Party in 1973, and was elected as a member of the State Council of the Australian Labour Party in October 1980.
