October 18, 1963 The Chinese University of Hong Kong was founded
The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong Chinese University) was founded on 18 October 1963 (CUHK) as the second university in Hong Kong and one of the eight universities funded and awarded by the Government of Hong Kong University Education Funding Commission. The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong Chinese University) was formed by the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong Chinese University) in 1963, the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) was founded in 1963, and the Hong Kong University of Hong Kong was founded in 1986, the only federal university funded by the Government of Hong Kong University of Education Funding. Most of the universities now offer English courses. Some schools, such as the School of Medicine, School of Law, School of Pharmacy, Faculty of English Language, Department of English Language and most of the new universities, are mainly taught in English
