On June 10, 2016 (May 6, 2016 in the lunar calendar), the 2016 European Cup in France was held. The 2016 UEFA European Championship (or UEFA Euro2016) is the fifteenth European football championship. The competition is managed by the European Football Association Union and held in 12 stadiums in 9 cities in France from June 10th to July 10th, 2016, local time. This is the third time that France has hosted this event after 1960 and 1984. A total of 24 teams participated in the competition. Except France, the host country, which automatically qualified for the competition, the other 23 teams need to qualify by participating in the qualifiers. This competition is also the first European Cup after UEFA decided to expand the number of participants from 16 teams to 24 teams. During the European Cup in France, a total of 51 matches were held in France to compete for the championship. The first match started at 3: 00 on June 11th, Beijing time, with the host France playing Romania (France VS Romania), and the venue is scheduled for Saint Denis.
