182 years ago today, on June 15th, 1843 (May 18th, 1843 in the lunar calendar), Norwegian composer Grieg was born. Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg (1843 ~ 1907) On June 15th, 1843, Grieg, a lyrical music composer, was born in Bergen, Norway. Grieg's ancestors were Scottish. His father was a businessman, his mother was Norwegian and an excellent pianist. Grieg's piano enlightenment education began with his mother. In 1858, under the vigorous persuasion of the famous little handler Ole Bull, Grieg was sent to Leipzig for special education. After four years of study, he left Leipzig in 1862. After that, Grieg went to Copenhagen to visit Gadai, a great Nordic composer, and he benefited a lot from this trip. After returning home, Grieg met Noldak, a young patriotic musician. Influenced by Noldak, Grieg decided to be a national musician. To express his feelings for Noldak, Grieg wrote a piano piece "Humor" dedicated to Noldak. Nordak died young at the age of 24, and Grieg specially wrote a "Funeral March" in memory of this good friend and played it himself. In 1867, Chrisgania established the Music Society, and Grieg served as the conductor of the Society for seven years. In 1874, thanks to funding from the Norwegian government, Grieg was able to concentrate on composing music, and the number of works soared. In February, 1876, the Norwegian writer Ibsen's opera Pilkin, adapted by Grieg, was staged at the National Theatre in Krisgania. Later, he selected some pieces from them and arranged them into orchestral suites. The whole piece is divided into two parts, each containing four paragraphs. First Suite: Morning Song, Death of Essie, Dance of Annetan, In the Hall of the Mountain King; The second suite: "Ingrid's Sigh", "Arabic Dance", "Pilkin's Return to Home" and "Song of Sulvich", which are representative works of Grieg. In 1885, Grieg lived in seclusion in Trohaugen, not far from his hometown, where he spent a peaceful half of his life. He often travels abroad with his wife to perform, and they have held several concerts in Leipzig, Rome, Paris and London. In the summer of 1907, he was hired again to conduct a performance in England, and despite an old illness, Grieg agreed to go. But just before boarding, he was admitted to Bergen Hospital, where he died. Grieg has many piano sketches, and most of them are beautiful and lovely works, including Lyric Ditties, including Butterfly and Message to Spring. There are songs such as Morning Dew, Swan, I Love You, etc. The lyrical madrigal tune is the foundation of Grieg's music.
