On July 13, 1952, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China issued a statement announcing the recognition of the Convention on the Prohibition of Gas or Similar Drugs and Bacterial Methods, signed in Geneva on June 17, 1925, and the Convention on the Improvement of the Conditions for the Wounded and Sick of Armed Forces on the Field, signed in Geneva on August 12, 1948, and the Convention on the Operational Treatment of War Prisoners and Bacterial Methods, signed in Geneva on July 13, 1952.
