Facing the boundless golden wheat waves, Vice Chairman Wang Zhen was filled with emotion. From July 28 to August 4, 1990, Vice Chairman Wang Zhen came to the Great Northern Wilderness. In the late 1950s, he led 100,000 officers and men to reclaim the Great Northern Wilderness. Nowadays, the Great Northern Wilderness has become a granary: the per capita annual grain ranks first in the country, and the level of agricultural machinery modernization ranks first in the country.
