According to reports, the storage ring of the Beijing Electron-Positron Collider has a dual-purpose model for high-energy physics experiments and synchrotron radiation and a dedicated model for synchrotron radiation. There are two synchrotron radiation laboratories outside the storage ring. The first phase of the plan has built three front-end areas and three beam lines. On the beam line, experts used focused X-rays and vacuum ultraviolet light to conduct X-ray excited luminescence experiments on laser crystal materials, and observed some valuable new phenomena that have not yet been obtained at home and abroad. The high-brightness X-ray provided by the synchrotron radiation source is also used to complete the X-ray excited fluorescence spectrum analysis of a single hair in tens of seconds, reaching the highest level that foreign laboratories can achieve. The operation and use of this device will provide synchrotron radiation light in a wide spectral range from vacuum ultraviolet light to hard X-rays for biophysics, biochemistry, photochemistry, solid state physics, atomic and molecular physics, surface physics, materials science, metrology standards and medical research applications.
