Junior China Society was established

On July 1, 1919, the Youth China Society, initiated and organized by Li Dazhao and Wang Guangqi, held its founding meeting in Beijing after a year of preparation and promoted Wang Guangqi as the director of the Executive Department. The purpose of the society is "to serve the spirit of undergraduate studies and serve as social activities to create Youth China." Members are required to abide by the creed of "struggle, practice, perseverance, and frugality." The Association is located in Beijing, with branches in Shanghai, Nanjing, Chengdu and Paris, France. Its members cover many provinces and cities in China, as well as Europe, America, Southeast Asia and other places, with great influence. Mao Zedong, Deng Zhongxia, Yun Daiying, Gao Junyu, Zeng Qi, Li Huang, Zuo Shunsheng and others all joined the association. There is a journal "Youth China" published here. Part of its content introduces works and translations in natural sciences, social sciences, literature, and philosophy, covering various aspects of outlook on life, world outlook and social issues; the other part publishes news on the daily activities of the association and member newsletters. A total of 4 volumes and 12 issues were published.
