Luo Yusheng (1914.8.31-2002.5.5), stage name "Xiao Cai Wu", member of the 7th and 8th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, former chairman of China Quyi Artists Association, and a famous Quyi performing artist. The founder of the "Luo School" Jingyun Da Drum. Born in Jiangnan in 1914, she was given to Jianghu entertainer Luo Caiwu as her adopted daughter six months later. She has been wandering in Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuhan and other places with her adoptive parents since childhood. Since she was 4 years old, she has been cooperating with her adoptive father to perform vaudeville. The difficult life gave Luo Yusheng a strong personality and laid the foundation for her to move towards the peak of art. In Shanghai's big world, Nanjing's Confucius Temple, and Hankou's big stage, she left traces of her performances. In 1931, at the age of 17, Luo Yusheng officially sang the Beijing-style drum. Since he was 17, he changed to singing the Beijing-style drum. In 1934, he became a teacher of Han Yonglu and learned the Liu (Baoquan) school drum repertoire. Based on her tone characteristics, Han designed a unique singing for her, which later won the title of "Golden Singer King". Later, it adopted the strengths of the "Shaobai (Fengming) School" and "Bai (Yunpeng) School" to form the "Luo School" style. In this way, Luo Yusheng, another famous artist after Liu Baoquan, Bai Yunpeng, Zhang Xiaoxuan, and Bai Fengming, appeared in the folk art world of China and later led the world for more than half a century. In the early days, he was good at singing sad songs. Representative songs include "Hearing the Bell in the Sword Pavilion","Hongmei Pavilion", etc. In 1951, he joined the Tianjin Quyi Troupe. His singing of "Hero Huang Jiguang" and "Glorious Voyage" were praised. In 1971, he was transferred to teaching. In 1976, he returned to the opera arena. Joined the Communist Party of China in 1979.
