211 years ago today, on May 30, 1814 (April 11, 1814 in the lunar calendar), Mikhail Bakunin, the founder of modern anarchism, was born. Mikhail Alexandrovich Bakunin (Mod §Ú §Ó §Ñ §Ú §Ý §¡ §Ý§Ö§Ü§ã§Ñ §ß§Õ§â§à§Ó §Ú§é §¡ §Ü§å§ß §Ú §ß, May 30, 1814-July 13, 1876) was the founder of modern anarchism. Bakunin was born into a Russian aristocratic family. Marx and Bakunin had many conflicts. For example, in a secret letter to a German friend, Marx claimed that Bakunin was a spy of the Pan-Slavic Party; Bakunin believed that Marx was vain and vicious, talked about theory but was afraid of action, talked about life but lacked life, and liked to play with words. These people are the downright narrow-minded bourgeoisie. At the Congress of the First International in 1872, Bakunin was expelled from the First International. In his later years, he retired from home. Bakunin did not create a systematic theory like Marx (the writings of his successor Kropotkin can roughly say that did this). Bakunin's anarchist thoughts have a wide international influence. The pen name Ba Jin of the famous China writer Li Yaotang is also taken from Bakunin and Kropotkin.
