On this day, 26 years ago, on June 19, 1999 (May 6, 1999 in the lunar calendar), Prince Edward of England held a century wedding with a civilian Sophie. After five years of love, the two finally entered the marriage hall hand in hand. On June 19, 1999, the British royal family celebrated their last wedding of the century. The groom was Prince Edward, the youngest son of Queen Elizabeth, and the bride was Sophie Lujones. Edward had never liked serious and formal court life, but longed for the freedom of the common people. He called himself "Edward Windsor". I hate being called the title of "Prince".
