On this day, 28 years ago, on December 6, 1997 (November 7, 1997 in the lunar calendar), a Russian Air Force transport plane crashed into a house. The crash site On December 6, 1997, an An-124 large transport aircraft of the Russian Air Force crashed into a residential building shortly after taking off from the Russian Far East city of Irkutsk Airport, causing a fire and destroying the building.
