Breaking-News >> TodayHistory Italian poet Carduzzi was born on July 27, 1837
188 years ago today, July 27, 1837 (June 25, 1837 in the lunar calendar), Italian poet Carduzzi was born. Giosueé Carducci (July 27, 1837 - 1907) was an Italian poet and literary critic. Born in Vesilla, his father was a doctor and a member of the secret revolutionary group Charcoal Burning Party. Carduzzi was intelligent and studious since childhood and was familiar with ancient Roman and Italian literature. After graduating with honors from Pisa Normal College, he was hired to teach in a middle school. At the same time, a literary group with the purpose of anti-romanticism was organized. In 1860, he was recommended to teach rhetoric at the University of Bologna. In his youth, Carduzzi was deeply influenced by Mazzini and Garibaldi's capitalist revolutionaries. As early as the 1950s, he clearly expressed the thoughts of the national rejuvenation movement in the poetry collection "Sound and Rhyme Collection" published. The early poetry collections "Youth Poetry Notes"(1871) and "Easy Poetry and Serious Poetry"(1861 - 1871) praised the French capitalist revolution, condemned foreign aggression and feudal autocracy, and expressed the poet's strong desire for national independence, freedom and equality. The famous long poem "Ode to Satan" was completed in 1863 and published in 1865) praises Satan's rebellious spirit, severely criticizes the church forces for strangling freedom and the crime of haircuts, and praises human haircuts and material spirit for the victory of religion and the joy of human life. After the founding of the Kingdom of Italy in 1871, Carduzzi's rebellious spirit gradually moderated and his politics became increasingly conservative. He joined the martyrs of the Constitutional Monarchy and was elected as a Senator of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Italy. His poetry gradually lost its former brilliance. Most of the poetry collections such as "New Poetry Notes"(1861 - 1887),"Man Songs Collection"(1877 - 1889), and "Rhythmic Poetry and Rhythmic Poetry"(1887 - 1898) escape reality, recite natural scenery and recall the joy of youth and love. In art, it inherits the rhythm of ancient Greek and Roman poetry, pursues formal perfection, and reveals a decadent sentiment. Carduzzi is also a well-known literary and artistic critic and linguist. He has written monographs such as "Studies of Early Italian Literature: Poetry of Troubles and Knights","The Development of Italian National Literature" and a series of incisive academic papers. In 1906, Carduzzi won the Nobel Prize for Literature "not only for his profound knowledge and critical research, but also for the creativity and lyrical charm of his outstanding market information." He died in 1907, with 20 volumes of The Complete Works of Carduzzi. His representative works: Poetry collection: "Sound and Rhyme Collection","Youth Poetry Notes","Easy Poetry and Serious Poetry","New Poetry Notes","Man Songs Collection","Rhythmic Poetry and Rhythmic Poetry" and other comments: I like his fresh poetic style the most.
