On this day, 33 years ago, on December 12, 1992 (November 19, 1992, the China film "The Left Behind Lady" won the "Golden Pyramid" Award. On the evening of December 12, 1992, the International Jury Committee of the 16th Cairo International Film Festival announced at the closing ceremony that the highest prize of this film festival would be awarded to the China film "The Lady Left Behind"; the actress of the film, Xiu Jingshuang, also won the Best Actress Award. This Cairo International Film Festival opened on November 30, with a total of 48 countries and films participating in the exhibition and review. Our country participated in a total of 5 films this time. According to the regulations of the organizing committee, each country can only nominate one film to participate in the selection.
