On November 19, 1635, Nalan Mingzhu, a powerful minister of the Kangxi Dynasty, was born. Naranmingzhu (1635 - 1708), Yehenara, also known as Duanfan, was a native of the Zhenghuang Banner of Manchuria. He served successively in important positions such as the chief manager of the Internal Affairs Office, the minister of the Ministry of Justice, the minister of the Ministry of War, the censor of the left capital of the Duchyuan, the grand scholar of the Wuying Hall, and the prince's tutor.
Relying on her own diligence and talent, Nalan Mingzhu grew from an ordinary guard to a grand scholar of Wuying Hall and a prince's tutor, and became a powerful official of the court. During his thirteen years in the cabinet, Naranmingzhu played an active role in major events such as discussing the withdrawal of the Three Kingdoms, the reunification of Taiwan, and the resistance to foreign enemies. At the same time, she monopolized government affairs, was greedy for money and accepted bribes, and clashed with another important minister, Suoetu, and was eventually impeached and fell. Naranmingzhu experienced ups and downs throughout his life, but the loss of power could not conceal the achievements of his generation of powerful ministers.
In his capacity as chief editor, Nalanmingzhu participated in the compilation of important royal classics such as "Records of Taizu of the Qing Dynasty","Records of Taizong of the Qing Dynasty","Three Pilgrims","Political Code Training","Strategies to Calm the Three Degrees","The Qing Dynasty Hui Dian","Qing Dynasty Yi Zhi","Ming History" and other important royal classics. Among them,"Qing Dynasty Hui Dian" is a masterpiece of various political systems before Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty and has become valuable information for studying Qing history.
Naran Mingzhu and his sons Naran Xingde and Naran Kuishu are famous book collectors. Their families have a rich collection of books, and they have built library buildings such as "Xueyanzhai" and "Ziyi Garden". Naran Pearl collects dozens of good editions of the Song and Yuan Dynasties, hundreds of engraved editions of the Ming Dynasty, and most of the old collections of book collector Xu Qianxue. The books copied by Nalanmingzhu bear the three words "Xueyanzhai". Historically, they are called "Xueyanzhai Manuscripts", including "Southern Tang Book","Dr. He Bei Lun","Mao Ting Ke Hua", etc. [2]
Naranpearl played a positive role in major events such as Kangxi's proposal to withdraw the Three Kingdoms, unify Taiwan, and resist foreign enemies. In the twenty-seventh year of Kangxi (1688), he was ousted for the crime of cliques. Although he was later restored to his original position, he was no longer in an important position. He died of illness in the forty-seventh year of Kangxi (1708).
