On August 14, 2001 (June 25, 2001 in the lunar calendar), China's first domestically produced maglev bus was completed and rolled off the production line at Changchun Bus Factory. On August 14, 2001, China's first domestically produced maglev bus was completed and rolled off the production line at Changchun Bus Factory. The first domestically produced maglev passenger car jointly developed by Southwest Jiaotong University, Changchun Bus Factory and Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Research Institute was completed and rolled off the production line at Changchun Bus Factory. According to the person in charge of the scientific research project and the third consecutive professor at the Institute of Maglev Train and Maglev Technology of Southwest Jiaotong University, this maglev passenger car is a special vehicle produced for the "Qingcheng Mountain Maglev Train Project Demonstration Line". It is a normally guided and absorbed floating type. The maglev vehicle uses electromagnetic attraction to float the vehicle and always maintains the distance between 8 and 10 mm from the track. It is driven by a linear motor and operates at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour, and the maximum test speed can reach 100 kilometers per hour. The maglev bus that rolled off the production line yesterday was 11.2 meters long and 2.6 meters wide. It had 28 seats and had a load of 2 tons. The car body adopts aluminum alloy plate and beam welded body. It is light in weight and has a dead weight of only 16 tons. Since there is no mechanical friction resistance between the wheel and rail and the vehicle, the vehicle has the advantages of smooth and comfortable operation, low noise and no pollution. In December 1998, Changchun Passenger Car Factory signed a technical cooperation agreement with Southwest Jiaotong University, Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Research Institute and Qingchengshan Maglev Train Engineering Co., Ltd. to jointly develop and develop my country's first maglev train engineering demonstration line, which was completed in 1999. The design task was completed on December 30. It is reported that this maglev bus will arrive in Chengdu at the end of this month. It will first complete various performance tests on the 43-meter steel structure test line on Southwest Jiaotong University, and then transport it to Qingcheng Mountain for tourism commercial operations and practical experiments. At present, the Qingcheng Mountain Maglev Train Project Demonstration Line for this "horse" is under construction. The project line has a total length of more than 400 meters and will soon be completed and put into use. Comments: This marks that China has become the third country to master maglev bus technology after Germany and Japan.
