This foundation will contribute to promoting economic development in poverty-stricken areas and improving the cultural quality of young people in our country based on the purpose of drawing from society, establishing funds, publicizing society, and benefiting children. It is understood that my country's average education level is less than 5 years, and basic education is even weaker. In recent years, the loss of primary and secondary school students in my country has shown an upward trend. In more than 190 counties that have not yet solved the problem of food and clothing, primary and secondary school students are unable to go to school due to family difficulties. The situation is even more serious. The foundation was established in March 1989 with the approval of the People's Bank of China and the Ministry of Civil Affairs. Its purpose is to win the support and sponsorship of groups and people at home and abroad who care about the cause of China's youth, promote the development of youth work, social education, science and technology, culture and welfare in China, promote modernization and the reunification of the motherland, promote friendly relations among international youth, and safeguard world peace. The foundation is co-founded by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the All-China Youth Federation, the All-China Students Federation, and the National Youth Working Committee.
