The Sixth Plenary Session of the Eighth CPC Central Committee was held on November 28, 1958
On this day, 67 years ago, on November 28, 1958 (October 18, 1958, the Sixth Plenary Session of the Eighth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was held. On November 28, 1958, the Sixth Plenary Session of the Eighth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was held in Wuchang (concluded on December 10). The "Resolution on Certain Issues Concerning the People's Communes" was adopted. The resolution further clarified some major policy boundaries of the people's commune system, mainly as follows: 1. In response to the issue that some communes announced the realization of ownership by the whole people or even entered communism after their establishment, the resolution divided the boundaries between collective ownership and ownership by the whole people. It is clearly pointed out that although agricultural cooperatives have become people's communes, collective ownership has expanded, it does not mean that they have become ownership by the whole people. 2. In response to the phenomenon that some communes implement a comprehensive supply system in distribution, the resolution pointed out that in the income of members, the wage portion distributed according to work should account for a period of time. 3. In response to the attempt to abolish commodity production and currency and to allocate the products of the commune, the resolution pointed out that in a necessary period in the future, the commodity production of the people's commune and the exchange of commodities between the state and the commune, and between the commune and the commune must have a great development. 4. In response to the practice of some communes transferring members 'private property to the public, the resolution stipulates that the houses, clothes, bedding, furniture and other living means and deposits owned by members will always belong to members. This resolution played an important role in rectifying the people's communes and slowing down the spread of "communist style". Of course, some regulations, such as the implementation of a partial supply system, the establishment of public canteens, rural residential areas, and the promotion of "militarization of organizations, militarization of operations, and collectivization of life", exceeded the objective conditions of the time. The Sixth Plenary Session of the Eighth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China also adopted the "Decision on Agree with Comrade Mao Zedong's Proposal that he not be a candidate for the next presidency of the People's Republic of China." From November 28 to December 10, 1958, Mao Zedong presided over the Sixth Plenary Session of the Eighth CPC Central Committee of China in Wuchang. From the right, Deng Xiaoping, Chen Yun, Zhou Enlai, Mao Zedong, Liu Shaoqi, Zhu De, and Lin Biao. Mao Zedong delivered a speech at the Sixth Plenary Session of the Eighth Central Committee of the Party.
