Photo: Ferdinand In June 1914, after visiting military exercises on the Serbian border, Ferdinand was assassinated and killed by Serbian nationalist GavriloPrincip while visiting Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This incident became the trigger for the First World War. On June 26, 1917, after three years, the first mastermind of the assassination, Dragudin Dimitrijevich, was sentenced to death. The Serbian government-in-exile charged him and five other military officers with secret association, conspiracy to coup d'état and assassination of the Regent. Dimitarejevic's execution ended a decade-long dispute between him and Nikolai Passic, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Serbia, who advocated expanding Serbia's territory as non-violent as possible. Dimitrievich is the leader of the secret organization "Mafia" and has always advocated murder to achieve his goal. On June 10, 1903, Serbian King Alexander Objanovic and his family were assassinated in the royal palace in Belgrade. Dimitrijević was a member of the murder organization. In June 1914, Dimitrievich played a key role in the preparations for the assassination of Austrian Crown Prince Franz Ferdinand. Three years after the murder, Dimitrijevich was executed by firing squad at almost the same place where Ferdinand was assassinated.
