In the past ten days, it has been raining continuously in Zhaotong City. At about 6 p.m. on the 23rd, the mountain behind Touzhai Gully in Panhe Township suddenly slipped. Within a few minutes, a collapsed mountain that was 4 kilometers long, more than 300 meters wide and more than 20 meters deep killed the vast majority of the 106 households in the village. Farmhouses were buried or washed away. After the disaster occurred, the leading authorities of Yunnan Province and the troops stationed in Yunnan quickly dispatched personnel to the scene for rescue.
