RizalyMercado, José Protasio, father of the Philippines and national hero, was an enlightened thinker, writer and poet of bourgeois nationalism in the Philippines. He was also translated as Rizal, also known as Fusi Rizal. He was a national hero of the Philippines who resisted Spanish colonial rule and fought for independence and freedom. He was one of the great figures who promoted the historical process of the Philippines. He has been revered and loved for more than 100 years after his death, and was revered as the father of the country by the Philippine people. On June 19, 1861, Rizal was born in a family of China descent in Kashingba (also known as Kanamba Town) in Neihu Province. His ancestral home was Shangguo Village, Citong, Fujian (now Shangguo Community, Xintang Street, Jinjiang City). He died heroically on December 30, 1896. According to historical records, Rizal was intelligent since childhood, excellent in character and learning, and was proficient in the languages of many countries such as Philippines and Spain. In 1875, at the age of 14, he obtained a bachelor's degree in literature, and then entered the Royal Church of Marsh University in Saintton, where he studied philosophy and fine arts. Later, his mother suffered from eye diseases, so he switched to medicine. At the age of 18, he wrote the inspiring patriotic poem "To the Youth of the Philippines" and won the first prize in the National Poetry Competition. He was praised as a young poet of the Philippines and was persecuted by the Spanish colonial authorities for this. In 1882, he sneaked to Europe to study. Three years later, he obtained his doctorate in medicine and taught at a university. He was recognized as an accomplished scholar by the European academic community. Rizal was multi-talented, both a doctor and a writer, and an outstanding democratic revolutionary. He hated the discrimination and oppression of the Spanish colonial rulers against the Filipino people since he was a child. In 1887, he taught at a European University and wrote the book "Social Cancer" in Spanish to expose and lash the Spanish colonial rulers 'cruel rule of the Filipino people. Two years later, a sequel to the book,"The Rule of Greed", was published, calling on the Filipino people to launch an armed revolutionary struggle against colonial rule. In June 1892, Rizal returned to the Philippines. On July 3, the founding meeting of the "Philippine League" was organized in Manila to lead the domestic revolutionary struggle in the Philippines. He called for the Philippines to build a unified national community through moderate and legal means, developing the national economy and improving the social system. He was suppressed by Spanish colonists. On July 7 of the same year, Rizal was arrested and exiled to Pidan Island, and the League was immediately dissolved. On December 30, 1896, the colonial authorities executed him for "inciting people to rebellion through writing." Rizal was only 35 years old when he died heroically in Manila. Before dying, he wrote the dying poem "Farewell to My Motherland"("The Last Book"), which poured into his passion for his motherland. In addition, he also left the script "With Basi" and the autobiography "Memories of a College Student in Manila" during his lifetime.
