June 8, 2010 Jinjiang Bridge collapse in Jilin
On June 8, 2010 (April 26, 2010, the Jinjiang Bridge in Jilin Province collapsed. The collapse of the Jilin Jinjiang Bridge refers to the collapse of the Jinjiang Bridge on the Road of Jilin Province at about 20:30 on June 8, 2010. Scene of the incident: The Jinjiang Bridge at 194 kilometers and 100 meters away from the Chaochang Highway on Provincial Highway 302 in Fusong County, Jilin Province suddenly collapsed. A large truck filled with sand driving on the bridge and crashed into the Jinjiang River together with the bridge deck. Although the bridge body collapsed, the iron plates of the bridge deck were still intact. Casualties: A taxi fell under the bridge while driving to the collapsed bridge. There were 7 people in the truck and taxi, 6 people were injured, and no one died. Incident investigation: According to relevant personnel, the bridge was identified as a dangerous bridge in 2006, and relevant departments set up warning signs at the bridge head.
