The birth of the famous German writer Heinrich Bohr

There was an unyielding expression in the eyes of young Heinrich

As a writer with a high sense of social responsibility and superb writing skills, Heinrich Burr expanded the world's vision of the times and contributed to the revival of modern German literature. In 1972, the Swedish Academy awarded Heinrich Bohr the Nobel Prize for Literature.

Unlike many modern writers, Burr was content to use traditional novel forms and adapt them to his purposes. People are always amazed by his sensitive skills in character creation and his broad vision of the times. As Burr's "most spectacular and imaginative work","Lady's Life" praises the past and present of his motherland with a critical and constructive eye. The reason why Burr is so outstanding is because of his extraordinary and slightly tragic experience. On December 21, 1917, Heinrich Bohr was born in Cologne, a deeply Catholic city on the Rhine River in Germany. The year was during World War I, and Germany faced the greatest poverty and famine caused by the war.

Burr's father, Victor, was a carpenter, and his mother was Victor's second wife. After Victor's first wife died of illness, he left him with three daughters. Victor had an anti-Prussian sentiment since he was a child, which profoundly influenced Burr.

In Burr's childhood memories, the most unforgettable thing was not the founding of the German Republic on November 9, 1918, but the army that returned from defeat in World War I. He wrote: "The returning procession was a gray, neat, desperate procession, and in my mother's arms I looked out into the street, where there was an endless procession marching across the Rhine Bridge. "Burr's second childhood memory is the various smells of his father's factory: wood, glue, shellac, dyes, etc. The syllables of the Germanic street name became the third memory of his childhood.

In 1928, when Burr was 11 years old, his father, Victor, hired a murderer who had just emerged from prison. Curious children always ask their fathers at dinner or while sitting together to rest at night: "How is your murderer? Who did he kill again? "Victor was not happy about this. Once he said to the children,'Yes, he was a murderer. But it would be unfair to call him the murderer again, because he had already received the punishment he deserved. Now that he has changed his life and started a new life, I can't let him feel that you are making fun of him. Now he is a lonely man, and you can no longer make fun of him. "This is a kind of magnanimous tolerance. Burr, the writer who was later known as the "Good Man of Cologne", used this mentality to write a deeply touching and excellent literary works. In March 1947, Burr's first short story,"Years ago", was published for a fee of 80 marks.

In 1949, Burr, who had not yet become famous, attended the annual writers 'annual meeting of the prestigious "Fourth Seventh Society". At the annual meeting, which lasted for several days, both famous and unknown writers had to read their works aloud and accept ruthless comments. Burr's generous demeanor and superb narrative skills quickly won the respect of his colleagues and the press.

In 1951, the work read by Burr won the best work award set by the club. Since then, the number of Burr's works has increased sharply and he has won awards frequently.

In 1972, he won the Nobel Prize for Literature, reaching the peak of literary creation. However, Burr's literary creation has always attracted controversy because of his liberal tendencies in almost all of his works and his often sharp criticism of the church and the state. This was particularly true during the Badr Meinhof terror in the early 1970s, when Burr firmly opposed the government's repressive measures. He took part in the debate, confronting the conservative Springer Publishing Company.

In July 1985, Burr passed away in his Langenbuige residence in the Eifel Mountains due to a relapse of his old illness. On July 19, Burr's funeral, countless people attended, as well as many politicians, including Federal President Weizsacker. Weizsacker wrote in a letter of condolences and condolences to Burr's wife Anne-Marie:"Heinrich Burr has left, and with him is our great German literature. He advocates and supports freedom and often makes some people feel uncomfortable. He is also fond of controversy, which arouses people's reaction and also arouses people's respect for him. We will miss his courage, enthusiasm, clarity and always urging voice. Some foreign newspapers even commented that "he saved the souls of Germans from the shadow of Bismarck and Hitler."』
