In 1852, Tolstoy sent the first part of his debut novel,"Childhood", to "Modern Man" magazine edited by the great writer Nekrasov. Tolstoy was very diligent in writing. He has a famous saying: "Genius, one-tenth is inspiration, and nine-tenth is blood and sweat." "In order to create the novel" War and Peace "based on the French Napoleon's invasion of Russia, he visited all libraries in Moscow and read a large number of history books, memoirs and related materials.
