In 1931, when Wang Zhennan served as the chief prosecutor of the Second Branch of the Puppet Jiangsu High Court in Shanghai, he charged 18 people including Hu Yepin (pseudonym Jiang Wenhan), Rou Shi (namely Zhao Shaoxiong), Feng Keng (namely Feng Meiling), Li Weisen, Yin Fu (namely Bai Mang) with "endangering the Republic of China" and handed over Hu Yepin, Rou Shi, Feng Keng, Li Weisen, Yin Fu and other young revolutionary writers to the Longhua Puppet Songhu Garrison Command for secret killing. In 1934, Wang Zhennan prosecuted four other underground Communist Party workers Kuang Hui 'an and others, and Kuang and others were finally executed. In 1933, five underground workers of the Communist Party, including Ou Zhiguang, Zhang Yushan, and Yuan Youfang, were charged and sentenced to death in a puppet court. Wang Zhennan also personally wrote to the puppet court to execute the sentence within three days of the letter. Ou and the other five were killed. For the thirty-five years before liberation, Wang Zhennan served as an executioner of revolutionary martyrs in the reactionary judicial circles. According to records, as many as 180 Communist Party members and non-party revolutionaries were directly persecuted by Wang Zhennan, and 34 people were killed. This murderer, who was burdened with blood, still concealed his criminal history and refused to confess after liberation. After the people's government arrested him in accordance with the law in December 1955, Wang Zhennan had to plead guilty after many interrogations in the face of a large amount of evidence. On the 13th, the Shanghai City No. 1 Intermediate People's Court held a public trial with 650 people and sentenced Wang Zhennan to death in accordance with the law.
