On August 5, 1919, a national movement against the peace treaties signed by the Allied States had erupted in the Ottoman Empire.

The Peace Conference attempted to implement the self-determination principle in the Arab and Armenian minorities and recognized the imperial division between France, Italy and Greece.Though the King of Sudan had accepted the terms of the Covenant, 20,000 Greek troops landed in Sumatra in Turkey in May and lit the fire of the Turkish rebellion.

Mustafa Kemal Pasha was the hero of the Battle of the Strait of Dadanil and the Battle of Gallipoli. He has been organizing military forces and popular nationalist forces. He called for a nationalist congress to be held in Sevastopol. The preparatory conference of representatives from the eastern provinces has been held in Erzurum. At the opening ceremony of the congress, Kemal summarized the goal of establishing a republican system.
