On September 17, 2011, Japan's space cargo spacecraft docked with the International Space Station
On September 17, 2011 (August 20, 2011 in the lunar calendar), the Japanese space cargo spacecraft docked with the International Space Station. On September 17, 2009, Japan's unmanned space cargo spacecraft, Space Station Transfer Vehicle 1 (HTV1), arrived at the International Space Station and was preparing to dock with it. Japan's first space cargo spacecraft, Space Station Transfer Vehicle 1 (HTV1), was launched from the Tanegashima Space Center in Kagoshima Prefecture, southern Japan at 2:01 am local time on the 11th (1:01 Beijing time). Reports said that in the early morning of the 11th of this month, an H2B rocket sent HTV into space at the Tanegashima Space Center of the Aerospace Research and Exploration Agency in Kagoshima Prefecture. Then, HTV relied on engine jets to slowly elevate its orbit and gradually approached the space station. Japan plans to launch one HTV per year by 2015, for a total of seven. After the completion of the "Hope" experimental module and the long-term stay of Japanese astronauts in space, Japan will also make further contributions to the operation of the space station in terms of material transportation. Comments on this successful docking: laying the foundation for Japan's future research and development of manned spacecraft.
