On this day, 210 years ago, on September 26, 1815 (August 24, 1815, the lunar calendar), Russia, Prussia and Austria announced and concluded the "Holy Alliance" in Paris. In March 1814, an anti-French coalition of European monarchies defeated Napoleon and temporarily strangled the French bourgeois revolution. In the autumn of the same year, Tsar Alexander I, Austrian Emperor Franz I, and King William III of Prussia immediately gathered in Vienna to hold a spoil-sharing conference. They redrew their sphere of influence on the map, tried to restore the old order in Europe before the French Revolution, and took the opportunity to plunder France. In May 1815, Louis XVIII was brought to the throne of France and restored the Bourbon feudal dynasty. At the time, someone ridiculed that Louis XVIII was "brought back in a luggage cart of the coalition forces." Louis XVIII obediently signed the "Paris Peace Treaty" concocted by the four major powers of Russia, Prussia, Austria and Britain to divide France. On September 26, 1815, at the initiative of Tsar Alexander I, the reactionary leaders of Russia, Prussia and Austria issued a declaration in Paris to conclude the so-called "Holy Alliance" and publicly declared that they would jointly defend the monarchy with military force. Later, monarchs from almost all European countries signed up to join this counter-revolutionary alliance. In November of the same year, Russia, Britain, Prussia and Austria signed the "Four Nations Alliance". Three years later, France also joined. This organization is actually a supplement to the "Holy Alliance". The "Holy Alliance" is an international counter-revolutionary joint organization, in which Tsarist Russia played a major role and was the gendarme of suppressing European revolutions. In the name of "maintaining European order", it intervened militarily in the Spanish and Italian revolutions, stifled the Greek independence movement, crusaded against the Polish uprising, and suppressed the Hungarian revolution. In short, wherever a revolutionary movement occurred, the tsar sent troops to suppress it and acted as an executioner. Austrian Prime Minister Metternich is the soul of the "Holy Alliance" and actually controls the alliance. He once arrogantly claimed that "the status quo of all things in Europe will not change again." The perverse actions of the "Holy Alliance" have met with strong resistance from people of all countries. The storm of European revolutions in 1848 swept away a lot of political garbage from European countries. Metternich himself also fled in disguise during the Vienna Revolution, and later even the king fled Vienna. The "Holy Alliance" was completely bankrupt.
