256 years ago today, August 15, 1769 (July 14, 1769 in the lunar calendar) was the birthday of Napoleon, a French bourgeois politician and strategist. Returned to China in 1799. He launched a coup d'état (November 9, 18th Brugmonth in the New Republic Calendar), established a ruling government, and appointed himself as the first in power. In 1804, he proclaimed himself emperor and established the First French Empire. Promulgate civil law (i.e., the Code of Napoleon), commercial law and criminal law to consolidate the achievements of the bourgeois revolution. Internally, it suppressed the restoration of the Royal Party; externally, it smashed the anti-French alliance many times and severely dealt a blow to the feudal forces in Europe. Later, he gradually invaded and expanded abroad and competed for hegemony with Britain and Russia. The 1812 War against Russia failed. In 1814, the anti-French coalition forces captured Paris and was exiled to the island of Elba. He returned to Paris in 1815 and established the Hundred Days Dynasty. After losing the Battle of Waterloo, he was exiled to St. Helena. He died of illness on the island in 1821.?
