On November 15, 1991 (early October 10 of the Lunar calendar), China's firefighters completed the firefighting mission of Kuwait oil wells back home.

On November 15, 1991, after the Chinese firefighters completed their work to extinguish the oil well fire in Kuwait, they left the country this morning by plane.

The firefighters arrived in Kuwait on August 23 on the invitation of the Kuwait government to participate in the firefighting work.In more than two months, the firefighters extinguished ten large oil wells and completed the firefighting mission.

Sun Zhenchun, commander-in-chief of the Chinese fire extinguishing team, said before the trip that the Chinese fire extinguishing team carried forward the spirit of hard work in the fire extinguishing work and successfully completed the task in the harsh environment. He expressed the hope that he would have the opportunity to come to Kuwait again to participate in the oil field reconstruction work in the future.
