633 years ago today, on September 28, 1392 (the twelfth day of the ninth lunar month), Li Chenggui changed his country name to Korea. In the mid-7th century, the confrontation between Koguryo, Baekje and Silla on the Korean Peninsula ended. Silla unified the peninsula and transitioned from slave society to feudal society. After the division of Silla, Wang Jian once again unified the peninsula in the early 10th century and changed the country's name to Koryo. In 1388, Li Chenggui, the general of the Wang family in Koryo, launched a mutiny. After several depositions, he took over power.
