Jean-Baptiste Pierre Antoine de Monet (Chevalier de Lamarck, August 1, 1744-December 18, 1829), a Frenchman, published "Philosophiezoologique" (Philosophie of Zoology) in 1809, also translated as "Philosophy of Zoology"), systematically expounded his theory of evolution, commonly known as Lamarck's theory.
