On this day 100 years ago, on November 27, 1925 (October 12, 1925 in the lunar calendar), the Ye Ting Independent Regiment was formed. In November 1925, the Fourth Army Independent Regiment of the National Revolutionary Army was established. The regiment was based on the original "Iron Armor Caravan of the Grand Marshal's Mansion of the Army and Navy of the People's Republic of China", and also recruited some cadets from the Huangpu Military Academy and the Dian Army Cadre School. Most of the soldiers were recruits, with a total of more than 2,000 people in the regiment. Ye Ting served as the head of the regiment, called the "Ye Ting Independent Regiment". The appointment and removal of cadres in this regiment are decided by the Communist Party of China and are not bound by the Fourth Army of the Kuomintang.
