It was known as the county seat of 300 households, which crushed 700 or 800 men and women, and the houses in the whole city were in collapse.... Statistics show that the (dead) population of urban and rural areas is more than 4,000, and the number of cattle, sheep and horses (dead) is 30,000." There are many cracks in the fields in the Twin Towers area, and a large ditch about 5 meters wide and 200 meters long sank on the flat ground. The Great Buddha Temple at Shuixiakou collapsed, and the stone tablets in the temple all twisted and fell to the northwest. There has never been such a cruel and violent earthquake. After a detailed investigation of only one county in Wuwei, the population was estimated to be 35,495 (the original population was more than 80,000), 22,095 cattle, horses, sheep and livestock, 19,399 collapsed villages, 418,442 houses, about 123,669 acres of collapsed fields, and the rest of the sundries and other pieces, the damage cannot be counted. "At that time, most of the world's seismic stations, such as Shanghai Xujiahui Station, Leningrad Station, Zurich Station, Strasbourg Station and other stations, clearly recorded the earthquake.
