154 years ago today, on May 27, 1871 (April 9, 1871), the battle at the Cemetery of Bel-Lachaise. The battle of the soldiers of the Paris Commune to guard the Cemetery of Bel-Lachaise on May 27, 1871, is recorded in history as the heroic history of the soldiers of the Commune who fought the enemy to the end. The Cemetery of Bel-Lachaise is located on the edge of the East City of the old city. It belongs to the Merimontane district of Paris (that is, the 20th district). It is the famous and largest cemetery in Paris. The terrain is higher and contiguous with the Burleville district (that is, the 19th district). This is where the revolutionary storm of the Paris Commune arose. In the "Bloody Week", the 19th district fell first, and the 20th district became the main area of the final battle. On the evening of May 27, 5,000 Versailles bandits besieged the Bel-Lachaise cemetery. Fewer than 200 Commune soldiers were guarding there, but they fought the enemy from 4 pm until late at night. The artillery of the Versailles bandits bombarded the 20th district wildly, and the commune members swore to fight the enemy to the end. The Lachaise cemetery is vast and full of tombstones. Round stone statues taller than the real person, bust figures with seats and stone niche-shaped carvings are everywhere, which just serve as a cover. Between the tombstones, the commune soldiers fought the Versailles bandits with a bloody blade. The enemy and I were at odds, and every inch of land must be fought. Many soldiers fought the Versailles bandits to the end and died together. The final 147 soldiers retreated to a wall in the cemetery and fought to the death against the enemy, chanting "Long live the Commune", and finally died heroically. This wall still stands there as a witness to history, known as the "Paris Commune Wall", for people all over the world to see and mourn.
