On this day, 33 years ago, on May 30, 1992 (April 28, 1992, the Beijing Yansha Center was completed. The Beijing Yansha Center project was completed as scheduled and put into trial operation on May 30, 1992 at the Liangma River in the eastern suburbs of Beijing City. Beijing Yansha Center is a comprehensive service facility jointly constructed and operated by Beijing City Commercial Branch Service Center and several companies such as Lufthansa. It has a total construction area of 160,000 square meters and consists of three main buildings: hotel, shopping center and apartment/office building. The project is jointly contracted by China State Construction Engineering Corporation, Philip Holtzmann Construction Company and Belfinger Berg Construction Company of the Federal Republic of Germany. The entire construction period is 39 months. At that time, it was the first time in our country that such a large project had adopted the Sino-foreign joint general contracting management method and the construction management was carried out in strict accordance with the international general contracting contract. Our country's construction workers are the backbone of the project, accounting for 96% of the total number. China Construction Company formed a project leadership team mainly composed of young people, strengthened contract constraints, bid and subcontract step by step, and worked closely with foreign parties to create a "Yansha speed" at which the main project was renovated every ten days and all projects were completed in one year. The construction period is better than similar projects in Europe.
