From then on, these people lived in the local area and made a living by growing tea and cotton. They used local bamboo, wood, and thatched grass to build bamboo buildings, and built the roof into the style of Kongming's hat. This legend reflects the close relationship between the Jino people and the Han people in ancient times. Before 1949, due to blocked traffic and rugged roads, the Jino people lived a primitive life of wandering farming all year round, of slash-and-burn cultivation, and wood-carving to record records. Before the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Jino people had long been in a dilemma of relying on re-selling food for food, relief for money, and loans for production due to deforestation and reclamation, which destroyed the ecological balance. The level of productivity was low, and widespread planting and poor harvesting. Reform and opening up have changed the face of Keno Mountain. New buildings such as science and technology training centers, middle schools, primary schools, shops, and township governments have been built here. High-end consumer goods such as tape recorders, televisions, video recorders, and motorcycles have all entered ordinary Jino households. The Jino people entered the primary stage of socialism directly from primitive society. They deeply understand that the root cause of long-term backwardness is cultural backwardness. Therefore, the Jino people attach great importance to the development of education. At present, the education network in which villages have junior primary schools, villages have senior primary schools, and townships have middle schools has been basically realized. Keno Mountain has unique natural conditions and is very suitable for the growth of cash crops such as tea, fruits, and oak trees. In the past, due to the production habit of cutting trees, burning wasteland, and planting dry grains for generations, life has become poorer and poorer. After 1980, with the help of scientific and technological personnel, the Keno people changed from "taking grain as the key link and single management" to "focusing on forests, adapting measures to local conditions, diversified operations, and comprehensive development", vigorously developing the planting of cash crops and making the production structure Fundamental changes have taken place. While developing cash crops, they relied on science and technology to increase yields, achieving more than enough food self-sufficiency.
