The Battle of Tours (Battle of Poitiers) broke out

On October 10, 732, the Battle of Tours (Battle of Poitiers) broke out. Charles Matter commanded 15,000 Frankish troops at the confluence of the Vienne and Klern rivers between Tours and Poitiers. He encountered 60,000 Muslim troops commanded by Abdullah Rahman. The Muslim army was defeated and the commander Rahman was killed. After heavy casualties, the Frankish army ended the history of Muslim expansion from Spain to Western Europe.
