Ghana Air was established on July 4, 1958 and began operations on July 15, 1958, when Ghana Air took over the operation of domestic and international services by West Africa Airlines. In 1971 and 1995, its operating model was reformed twice and changed into a profit-oriented limited liability company. Domestic services were interrupted in September 1991. Ghana Airways 'McDonnell Douglas DC-10 was banned from flying into the U.S. neckline on July 28, 2004 due to safety reasons. In 2004, the company was liquidated and ceased all business.
