On June 11, 2013 (May 4, 2013), the Shenzhou-10 manned spacecraft was launched into space. The Shenzhou-10 manned spacecraft carrying three astronauts was launched from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China at 17:38 pm on June 11, 2013 by the Long March-2 F Yaoshi rocket. On the same day, the general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the State, and Chairperson of the Central Military Commission, Xi Jinping, and other party and state leaders saw off the astronauts and watched the launch. After the launch of the Shenzhou-10 manned spacecraft, it will conduct an automatic rendezvous and docking and an astronaut hand-controlled rendezvous and docking with the Tiangong-1 target vehicle, China's first space laboratory. Three astronauts will visit Tiangong-1. Shenzhou-10 is scheduled to fly in space for 15 days, and will carry out spacecraft orbiting tests as appropriate. The astronauts will also teach teenagers in space for the first time. This is China's first application flight of the manned heaven-earth round-trip transportation system. The Shenzhou-10 spacecraft carried three astronauts, Nie Haisheng, Zhang Xiaoguang and Wang Yaping. Among them, Wang Yaping is China's second female astronaut.
