590 years ago today, on June 29, 1435 (June 4, 1435 lunar calendar), Zheng He died. Zheng He (1371-1435), originally surnamed Ma, nicknamed Sanbao, Hui nationality, from Kunyang, Yunnan (now Jinning). In the early Ming Dynasty, he entered the palace as a eunuch, and was given the surname Zheng because of his military exploits in the war of King Yan Zhu Di for the throne. In 1405 (the third year of Yongle), he led sailors, officers and soldiers 27,800 people, took 63 ships of the "Treasure Department", and sent "Western" to the West, and returned two years later.
