On this day, 120 years ago, on August 20, 1905 (July 20, 1905 in the lunar calendar), the China Alliance was established in Tokyo. The Central General Assembly of the China League secretly contacted Sun Yat-sen, Prime Minister of the China League. On August 20, 1905, the China League held an inaugural meeting in Tokyo. There were about 100 people present. Except for Gansu, which had not sent students to Japan, people from the other 17 provinces within the customs attended. The conference adopted the "Declaration of the Alliance" and the "External Declaration of the Alliance" drafted by Sun Yat-sen and the charter drafted by Huang Xing. The charter discussed and approved by the conference stipulates that Tokyo is the headquarters, and there are three departments of execution, review and justice under the Prime Minister; there are nine branches at home and abroad (there are five branches in East, West, South, North and Central China in China, and four branches in Nanyang, Europe, America, and Honolulu abroad), and branches are established in various provinces and regions. At the meeting, Sun Yat-sen was elected Prime Minister and Huang Xing was elected Chief of the Executive Department to assist the Prime Minister in presiding over the work of the Ministry. The main employees of various agencies in this department include Zhang Binglin, Cheng Jiaxuan, Tian Tong, Deng Jiayan, Wang Jingwei, Song Jiaoren, etc. The main alliance members of each province and region are also presumed separately. The conference also approved the use of "China in the 21st Century" magazine as the official newspaper of the Alliance, and later changed its name to "Min Bao". If anyone dares to do what Shi Jingtang and Wu Sangui did, the world will attack them together! (3) Founding the Republic of China. Today, the national government is established through the civilian revolution. All citizens are equal and have the right to participate in politics. The president is elected jointly by the people. The Parliament is composed of members elected by the people. It formulates the Constitution of the Republic of China and adheres to it by everyone. If you dare to have the imperial system for yourself, the world will fight them together! (4) Average land rights. The benefits of civilization should be enjoyed equally by all citizens. We should improve social and economic organizations and verify world land prices. The existing land price still belongs to the original owner; the increased price of social improvement and progress after the revolution belongs to the state and is shared by the people. Those who dare to have a monopoly to control the lives of the people will abandon it with the public! In the first four measures, the order of measures is divided into three phases: the first phase is the rule of military law. The second phase is the rule of law. The third period is the rule of the Constitution. Let our people advance in an orderly manner and develop the qualifications for freedom and equality. This is the foundation of the Republic of China.
