Chinese athlete Guo Yuehua won the men's singles championship. In the men's singles final held on the evening of the 29th, Guo Yuehua defeated another Chinese player, Liao Fumin, 3:0. Liao Fumin won the runner-up. Guo Yuehua and Liao Fumin entered the final after defeating two other Chinese players, Wang Jialin and Huang Liang, 3:2 and 3:1 respectively.
