On this day, 83 years ago, on June 25, 1942 (May 12, 1942 in the lunar calendar), the British Army dispatched a thousand aircraft to bomb Bremen. On May 30, June 1 and 25, 1942, the United Kingdom dispatched a thousand aircraft to carry out concentrated bombing of Cologne, Essen and Bremen respectively.
