After returning to China in 1920, she participated in the activities of the Young Women's Christian Association. He has served on the Film Censorship Committee and the Child Labor Committee. In December 1927, he married Chiang Kai-shek in Shanghai. After that, he participated extensively in social and political activities and held leadership positions in some women's groups and children's welfare groups. After the Xi'an Incident in December 1936, he personally went to Xi'an to support a peaceful settlement. During the Anti-Japanese War, he served as Secretary-General of the Aviation Committee. In 1943, he attended the Cairo Conference with Chiang Kai-shek and served as an interpreter. In 1948, he represented Chiang Kai-shek to the United States for help. He moved to Taiwan from the United States in 1950. In 1974, the Fifth Plenary Session of the Tenth CPC Central Committee awarded her the "Zhongshan Medal". Shortly after Chiang Kai-shek died of illness in 1975, he went to the United States for medical treatment and settled down. In 1976, he returned to Taiwan to live for a short time. He has served as chairman of the "China Women's Anti-Communist Federation", chairman of the Presidium of the China Kuomintang Senate, and director of the China Kuomintang Women's Work Association. In October 1986, he returned to Taiwan to participate in the commemoration of Chiang Kai-shek's centenary birthday. Song Meiling is the author of "Xi'an Incident" and "Peace and War in China".
